The World Zone is pleased to announce the start of the WZ Cup Semifinals next June 30, 2021
Deadline for registration is June 15, 2021
These are the tournament rules:
- Tournament section size 11 players or more, based on number of entries received
- Multiple entries allowed, of course only one spot in the final per player
- Time control: Triple Block 600 days, no guaranteed time
- Top player in each section advances to the final, tiebreak rules in order: Baumbach rule, SB, results between tied players, number of wins with black, higher rating. Depending on number of entries, second placed player in each section may also advance to the final
- Players rated 2200 or more may register directly at this tournament stage
- Norms available based on tournament category
- Cash prize in the final: US$ 1000 (50% first place – 30% second place – 20% third place)
